THE BIGGEST BARGAIN IN FUN

"Memphis Flea Market Brings Out Smiles, Friends and Wallets"

Jeffrey A. Smith & Associates Memphis Real Estate Professionals are back again offering more ways to enjoy Summer fun in the Memphis Sun. (Okay well technically, air conditioned building-but you get the drift). "The Big One" Memphis Flea Market is held once a month on the third weekend of each month. It is open on the third Saturday from 9am-6pm and Sunday from 9am-5pm. Admission is $3 per adult and Children 12 and under are F-R-E-E- free. If you've never been to a flea market, then check out The Big One to ensure high standards for every flea market you attend throughout your life afterwards. And if you have attended The Big One, then you better be there again!! It's going down this weekend at the Memphis Agricenter. If you don't know where that's at-no problem-just type in 7777 Walnut Grove Rd into a map app on your smart phone and you'll be there in no time. This is the place to be for women, men and kids alike. Toys, purses, jewelry shoes, knives, and all kinds of unique and one of a kind items are deeply discounted and showcased at indoor booths that will be sure to appeal to the bargain hunter within you. This is definitely a place where you can shop until you drop! Most vendors are now accepting debit and credit cards, however to avoid the hassle, I personally like to have cash just in case something I HAVE TO HAVE just so happens to be a cash only item. They have those Southern Cutie and Cotton Logo t-shirts, your favorite sports team geared memorabilia, heck you can even get a tattoo....which is a little odd at a flea market if you ask me, but there is the option if you so choose! They also have amazing fair-style food. You know, the fat juicy pickles, nachos and cheese, and the huge slices of ooey gooey pizza, and don't get me started on those funnel cakes!! So if you didn't have plans for this weekend-now you do. And if you did have plans-now you have to reschedule so you can come to The Big One Flea Market! See you there!!

MID JULY FREAK-OUT

" How to Avoid that Mid-July Freak-out"

Okay so August is less than a month away and no matter how old you get, we ALL know what that means-back to school!!! But no fear...Jeffrey A. Smith & Associates Memphis Real Estate team is here with some ways to make the most of the summer as it tapers off. Here goes......

You like free? Um yea-who doesn't?

  • On Tuesdays, The Memphis Zoo & Pink Palace are free with a Tennessee id from 2-5pm
  • Take a downtown stroll along the Mississippi River
  • Have a picnic at the park
  • Feed ducks at the park
  • Walk your dog-or cat-(kidding) around the block
  • Ride your bike on the Greenline at Shelby Farms
  • Use your spare time to search for your dream home with the help of Jeffrey A. Smith & Associates Memphis Real Estate Team
Low Cost More Your Style?
  • Shelby Farms has Paddle-boats that are $12 for a 2 seater or $18 for a 4 seater. It's one hour of wearing a life jacket and seeing how much calf muscle you really have that you will never forget-in a good way though.
  • Goodwill!!!! The only place women can shop 'til they drop without breaking the bank ( or their hubby's heart when he sees the bank statement).
  • Many restaurants like Chilli's, Applebee's and T.G.I.F.'s have 2 for $20 where couples can have two entrees and either a dessert or appetizer for $20 (don't forget to tip!)
  • Create your own mini garden in your backyard. The dollar tree has seeds and gardening tools and even soil! Money is no excuse! Besides who doesn't love a homegrown tomato? Put your green thumb to work!!
  • Speaking of the dollar tree, there are so many crafts and low cost ideas that you can give into without feeling bad if it doesn't turn out perfect.
